The winter hike leads from First past snow-covered huts and forests down to the Berggasthaus Waldspitz and on to Bort. A detour to Lake Bachalpsee is worthwhile.

Big Pintenfritz: One of the longest toboggan runs in Europe
Those who hike from the First mountain station to the Faulhorn on sledges in winter are rewarded twice over: with the unique panorama of the Bernese Alps covered in deep snow and with one of the longest toboggan runs in Europe.

First–Schreckfeld–Bort
The sledging run from Grindelwald-First via Schreckfeld to Bort is a real challenge. Initially, the route runs steeply parallel to the ski slope, to Schreckfeld. The final ride to Bort begins comfortably, but then speeds up.

First Glider: Fly like an eagle
Up to four people can fly through the snowy mountain landscape in the eagle known as the First Glider: first at 72 km/h backwards from Schreckfeld to First, then back again at up to 83 km/h.
